Permit Manager / Project Estimator
- As the Permit Manager for a local HVAC subcontractor I am responsible for applying for and obtaining permits for all commercial projects. I alone am responsible for the entire process from beginning to end; everything from the paperwork and assuring all jurisdictional plan requirements are met to traveling to the jurisdictions to apply for and pick up permits (if not online).
- I am also an Estimator for commercial projects out to bid on the marketplace. This involves estimating the cost of our work through the use of spreadsheets, obtaining equipment/service quotes, writing a detailed proposal, and in some cases designing the layout of smaller HVAC systems.
- General office duties such as organizing and maintaining files, making copies, scanning, faxing, and filling out reports are performed daily.
