Material Control Specialist/ Movement Control Spec
Processed military parts at the (Class IX) yard with the SARSS1 system to include receiving, issuing, storing, and turn-in. Process all exceptional requests using DD Form 1348-6. Researched and processed denials, prevented IAR's (Inventory Adjustment Reports). Updated customer status disks or received requisitions through FTP. Maintained due-in/due-out status files. Processed and received items into the ASL and placed items in proper storage locations. Performed 100% inventories twice a year and 10% inventories monthly.
- Responsible for the requisitioning, tracking, receiving, inventorying and issuing of FSS/GS items. Create purchase order numbers in Maximo for all FSS/GS items being requisitioned. Upon receipt, enter property into the property record and confirm the transfer of accountable property within the organization. Prepare SITREP (Situation Report) and LOGREP reports. Prepared reports on materials, supplies and equipment availability, storage space, relocation of materiel, and Material Release Denials (MRDs). Supervised performance of causative research and prepared documentation to support Inventory adjustment Reports (IARs). Examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.
- Work with LOGSA, FEDLOG, MS-DOS, Windows, MS Office and other similar programs. Perform simple software installation. Work with SARSS-1 and BLAST protocols. Print SARSS Gateway reports and handle SARSS Gateway customer service calls from customers. Maintain ASL and SRA Operations, hand receipt, and conduct retail supply inventories and maintain accountability of hand receipt items.
- Operate and manage minor stand-alone PC-based software/systems such as MAXIMO or like programs. Perform other administrative tasks as determined by SARSS Analyst or Department Manager. Provide appropriate technical assistance and responses or refer calls to SARSS System Analyst or other individuals as necessary.
- Tracking and coordinating the control of containers entering and departing the CLSS IX yard. Inventory and coordinating the material inside containers entering and departing the CLSS IX yard and updating accurate counts in the SARSS system. Conduct 10% critical inventory weekly and scheduled 100%inventory of the CLSS IX yard. Coordinate with the supply technician for all CLSS IV materials and stock control for sensitive items in the SSA yard.
