Lead Controls/instrumentation Engineer

Part of the inorganics (fertilizer) project team. Responsibilities include the cost estimating, front end engineering (Feed Packages), instrument design, instrument specifications, P&ID development, wiring design and loop sheets. Developed the group start/stop control strategy for the conveyor processing. Key to project success was the splitting of the control system: hardware purchased and designed in-kingdom and software and operator stations done locally in Tampa. This allowed better supervision and direction of the software development and operator interface and was a major cost reduction for the system. Interfaced with overseas design firm for duration of 4 year project.
  • Lead engineer for feed package for Ammonia Production Facility in Saudi Arabia, Sipchem. System was a large DeltaV system interfacing the plant I/O and the various ancillary control systems (i.e. Building maintenance, fire protection, boiler system, etc )
