Power Plant Engineer
Provided engineering support to aircraft line maintenance and engine overhaul shop personnel. Conducted engine condition monitoring, reliability studies, developed maintenance programs, maintenance and overhaul package definitions, incident / accident investigations; maintenance capability development studies, prepared engineering orders, engineering repairs, manual revisions, and developed standard operating procedures. Experience on PW4000, CF6-80C2, PW2000, CFM56, V2500, JT9D, JT8D, PW121, PT6 engines; GTCP331, GCP85 series APUs, and B767, B757, B737, B727, B707, FOKKER-50, ATR-42, DHC-6 airplanes.
- Championed several premature engine failure investigations and provided recommendations that were implemented, resulting in improved engine performance and decreased engine failures.
- Conducted, on continuous basis, engine health monitoring and reliability studies of flying engines and aircraft components, ensuring airworthiness were not affected.
- Handled numerous engine work scope definitions, resulting in solving repetitive aircraft and engine problems.
- Achieved significant cost reductions by managing overhaul capability development of PW100 series engines, B767 / B757 components, and GTCP331 and GTCP85 APUs.
