Lead Pharmacy Technician/inventory Specialist
Oversee processing of 1,600 to 1,800 scripts per week. Educate providers on benefits, use of plan, formulary, premiums, and status of orders. Escalate clinical drug-related cases to pharmacist for review. Acquire prior authorization based on established clinical criteria, policy, and procedures. Keep abreast of California regulations related to drugs and pharmacy operations. Perform compounding and dispensing. Maintain Baker cell and other auto dispensing machines, including calibrations. Properly handle strong-packs (loose pills, Coumadin, Phentermine like containers and chemotherapeutic agents), required by federal, state and local agencies.
