Training Officer II-responsible for the delivery and development of training programs for the entire 280 member department. Co-lead instructor for recruit school training which includes NPQ Firefighter 1 & 2, HazMat Awareness & Ops, and a comprehensive Apparatus Operator program with licensure. Coordinated the delivery of forcible entry to all members of the department and delivered the training to all shifts. Developed a video program to facilitate the delivery of information and demonstrations prior to department-wide training evolutions. I assisted the Paramedic Program Coordinator with delivery of Paramedic training and practical exercises. Appointed by the County Commissioners to the Georgia Region IV EMS Council. 100 percent pass rate on classes taught including ACLS, PALS, CPR, HAZMAT, Firefigher 1&2.
- Technical Rescue Lieutenant-responsible for the daily operation of the Technical Rescue Team in my battalion, and being the team leader on all Hazardous material, technical rescue, and extrication calls. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, training, recruitment, retention, equipment purchase recommendations, public relations, demonstrations, and fire response. Assigned to 2 TR crews, Squad 1-C and Squad 11-B. Recruited 6 new members for Squad 11, and 4 new members for Squad 1. Organized and conducted numerous battalion wide and multi-company training classes and drill evolutions, including Live Burns, Search and Rescue, CCAT, 1410 Drills, and Technical Rescue Awareness. In the absence of the Captain, frequently assigned to ride up as the Acting Captain for the Battalion. Acted as Incident Commander on numerous fire, rescue, and multiple patient incidents.
- Station Officer-responsible for the daily operation of the Fire Station including staffing, training, response readiness, and personnel management. Assigned as Station officer at Station 1-A and 11-B. Responsibilities also include all administrative functions of the position. Acted as incident commander on numerous fire, rescue, and multiple patient incidents.
- Firefighter/Paramedic-responsible for ALS and BLS responses to emergency and non-emergency calls for service and assistance. Respond to fire and rescue calls and participate as a member of suppression, ventilation, and water supply/special service teams.
