While at Clovis Christian I taught NM History/Economics, US History, AP World History, 8th History, 7th History, 7-9 English, Junior English, and Theater.
- As theater teacher, I coordinate a spring play every year for the class. We have done a one act version of Much Ado About Nothing, and Dastardly Deeds, as well as full versions of Taming of the Shrew, The Worst High School Play in the World, The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, Phantom of the Opera, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, and The Importance of Being Earnest. With producing the Spring Play, I have the responsibility of getting the cast together, selecting the play, and working out all the details of costuming, props, set and lighting and sound. I also must put together a flyer, program and all other items necessary to produce the play.
- I have teamed with the English teacher in order to create cooperative projects for our students. We have successfully created several projects that work for both History and English. One of which we worked with the Science and Math departments in order to have a more cross-curricular project.
- Within our mentoring program I have been selected to mentor new teachers for the past three years. While doing this, I answer questions they may have, check on them periodically to see how things are going, give advice, and help in any other way that may be needed.
- While at CCS I have served as the Student Government faculty advisor. As faculty advisor my duties included assisting students in preparing pep rallies, homecoming festivities (including the court, decorations, dance, pictures, bonfire, powder puff football game, and all other spirit week activities), as well as other activities headed up by student government.
