According to PayScale, the median annual salary for SQL data analysts is $61,128. However, job data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows that database administrators (who perform many of the same duties) earn $87,020 in median annual pay, or $41.84 per hour. The BLS projects that these jobs will rise 11 percent through 2026. This is faster than the national job growth average. SQL data analysts receive complete benefits packages that include health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. Often, retirement planning options are also provided.
