Deputy Program Manager / Facility Security Officer
Primary responsibilities include planning, building, and managing operations for the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) University, an $8M 5-year contract which requires a state-of-the-art Air Force training facility, a facility clearance with classified storage, courses tailored specifically to the space environment at SMC, and a complex A/V system for video teleconferencing, distance learning, and recording. In addition to this role, I also provide management support on 4 concurrent contracts, including Systems Engineering and Information Assurance with the Space and Missile Systems Center in El Segundo and Colorado Springs (SMDIS III IDIQ task orders: $10M each) as well as an $87M contract with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
- Provide monthly budget and cost estimates to our customers, coordinate the addition of subcontractors and consultants to support the mission, resolve billing issues, develop and improve processes and procedures, maintain inventory and employee records, monitor contract/task order operations, provide business development and proposal support.
- Planned, scheduled, and managed several projects to completion within SMC University, the largest of which being the expansion of our training facility, which added 3,000 sqft of training rooms and offices.
- Responsible for all facility and personnel security. Established and maintained Top Secret facility security clearance with classified storage through the Defense Security Service (DSS) by following guidelines in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Manage personnel security clearances and visit requests, performed semi-annual self-inspections and annual vulnerability assessments with DSS. Received a "commendable" rating following our most recent inspection.
