Certified Welding Inspector
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Interprets drawings and other documents. Verify WQTR, WPS are filled out correctly. Verify that the equipment, consumables are certified. Witness performance and test of weldment assemblies, supervise activities performed by outside agencies. Verify welding joint geometry meets procedure and drawing requirements. Verify that work conforms to requirements of the applicable standards, drawings, or other documents. Verify that visual and other non destructive examinations have been performed by qualified personnel. Prepare clear and concise reports. Verify that records of welding procedure qualification, and the welding operator's qualification, the control of welding materials are maintained
- Certified Welding Educator (CWE) Educated Floor Inspectors and Welding Operators what weld discontinuity are; cause and remedies. Corrective action on how to fix the defects/ discontinuities. All welding.
- Certified Level II Liquid Penentrant Inspector (PT) Verifies welds meet (VT) Visual inspection requirements of the drawing and specifications before performing liquid Penentrant inspection.
