QA Supervisor

Responsible for assessing quality control procedures by monitoring, evaluating, documenting and communicating the effectiveness of the plasma center's practices prior to product release. It is also my responsibility and authority to stop a procedure or process that is not in compliance with the facility's procedures, manufacturer's instructions, or regulations and to prevent the release of blood components that violate regulations or that may be considered unsafe.

  • Help review DRFs on a daily basis, check DRFs for SPEs, atypical, and specialty plasma testing. Check DRFs and logs for RBC losses, underdraws, overdraws, resticks, and reactions.
  • Review all automated machine logs for daily, weekly and monthly cleanings,
  • Check packing procedures and all reclassifications. Weekly check the Hutton samples, monitor temperature variances for the freezer and refrigerators.
  • Responsible for tracking and trending analysis when required on forms, logs and records to help determine the root cause to any detectable problems and to help put a corrective action plan together when required.
