Nurse Manager

The Nurse Manager is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of a busy multi-disciplinary methadone clinic, insuring the delivery of high quality patient care. The Nurse Manager works closely with and reports directly to the Assistant Director Clinical Operations, but works very closely with the prescribing doctors and the case managers. My focus as the Nurse Manager: include spending a significant amount of time in front line areas to observe, mentor and coach front line teams in a manner that creates a culture of accountability and fosters continual improvement in the medication dispensary.

  • Directly supervised Nursing Support staff, in the medication dispensary.
  • Lead the development and teaching of standard work for Nursing Support staff based on best practice, continuous learning and improvement, and compliance with rules and standards of practice.
  • Participate as a member of the clinical leadership team; to assist in the development, decision making and coordination of treatment plans for our individual clients.
  • Prepare memos, letters, reports, notices, forms, and procedural guidelines. Maintain time and attendance records. Prepare agendas and conduct staff meetings.
  • Works primary closely with the Medical Doctor, for examination purposes, place medical orders/changes in medications and for any requires blood testing, HIV, Urine, and Drug test
