Help Desk Support Specialist

  • Provide technical support for civilian and military personnel at naval medical installations.
  • Support and set up of new email accounts, unlocking accounts, entering trouble tickets and Microsoft applications.
  • Interfaces with customer as needed to provide feedback and solve problems.
  • Provide support for CHCS (Composite Health Care System) and AHLTA (Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application). Unlocking CHCS and AHLTA accounts, activating CHCS clinic profiles, synchronization of AHLTA and CHCS accounts. Run Cumulative report in CHCS and reset VMS accounts.

  • Use Dameware to access users computers when necessary to install software's, file recovery and to create PST personal folders for email accounts.
  • Assist members of Database, Server, CHCS and Network teams with problems that arise in their respective areas including rebooting servers, stop and start of network devices, lab instrument interfaces and trouble shoot as first line support as needed.
  • Performs on-call 7 days around the clock support approximately every 6 weeks.
