Grocery managers perform varied daily tasks depending on how large their store or department is, the number of customers who shop there, and the size of their team. However, there are several core duties associated with this job:

Manage Staff Grocery managers oversee all grocery store staff members. This includes resolving employee disputes, directing staff, assigning duties, and disciplining or firing staff as needed. Grocery managers also schedule staff shifts and vacation days and dispense employee paychecks weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
