  • Responsible for maintaining and operating three 7.5 ton inductotherm induction furnaces while making sure the right scrap iron was ready to be charged into the furnaces.
  • After charging the furnaces I would cook the scrap metals and any carbon needed depending on the charge for the type of iron being poured that day.
  • Cooked iron at 2600-2650 degrees Fahrenheit, tested datacast carbon and silican, brought temperatures to the desired temp for the iron pourers to pour into molds.
