Machinists generally use metal cutting tools to shape and create metal parts used for, among other things, automobiles, construction equipment and production machines. They might also work with plastic, silicon, titanium or aluminum to make die molds or parts for various types of equipment. Machinists work from blueprints and drawings to ensure that  metal parts meet exact specifications. Tools that Machinists commonly use include drills, lathes and grinders.
