Food expeditors inspect dishes for visual appeal and to ensure that food is properly prepared and served at the proper temperature in a timely fashion. Food expeditors are the link between the kitchen and the dining room and bar. Restaurants and kitchens of all types hire food expeditors, who report to the head chef or kitchen manager, as well as to the dining room manager.
